Resident Engineer/Construction Manager

LEE & RO, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Resident Engineer/Construction Manager in our City of Industry (Los Angeles Area) office.


Applicants should possess 5+ years of experience in construction management, resident engineering, and/or construction inspection experience with water transmission pipelines, sanitary and storm sewers, pump stations, water storage reservoirs, water & wastewater treatment plants, and other public infrastructure projects. Prefer candidates with BS degree in civil or construction management or related field.


Primary duties, depending upon qualifications and experience, include construction management and inspection including processing of construction contractor’s submittals and RFI's, full-time or part-time on-site inspection and construction quality control, plan and attend construction meetings, document ongoing construction activities, preparation of daily inspection reports, contractor pay request review, change order review & processing, coordination of soil, concrete, materials and equipment testing, construction closure activities including punch lists, startup and performance testing, and management of as-built documentation.


The ability to hire and train staff is an integral part of this position as well as the capability to perform business development activities. Engineering and design experience is a big plus.
