This advancement stands as a testament to his experience in wet infrastructure design, personal impact on the firm's trajectory, and dedication to its core values.
Maji combines detail-level technical expertise with committed project leadership and heavy construction experience, qualities that he leverages every day to fight for the best outcomes for his clients and their projects. His formidable track record in pump station design is shown throughout his CV with the upcoming Seal Beach Pump Station as the pinnacle of his design career. In addition to his technical excellence, Mr. Maji shows his commitment to LEE + RO’s core values through his constant mentorship and drive to push the staff towards technical excellence.
The promotion and appointment herald a new chapter in LEE + RO’s story. In Maji’s words, “Working for LEE + RO has been very rewarding to me both professionally and personally. During my time here, I have been challenged to broaden my horizon and delve deeper into subject matters that I previously had just touched upon. The LEE + RO team has been like my extended family.”
Before joining LEE + RO, Maji was an assistant vice president at N-Y Associates in Metairie, Louisiana, from 1998 to 2016, where he worked on numerous USACE, FEMA, and Hurricane Katrina Damage restoration projects. His responsibilities included preparation of project plans and specifications, construction cost estimates, bid documents, technical reports and permit applications, supervision of the in-house design teams, and client management. He also participated in public outreach programs, presented project highlights at public and council meetings, coordinated with elected officials, governmental agencies, and the general public. Prior to that, he spent several years as a Structural and Civil Engineer at L&M Engineering and AIMS Group.
Maji received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University. He has an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Arizona and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern Illinois, Carbondale. He is a registered as a licensed professional engineer (civil) in California. He had also held PE licenses in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi.
