As Prime Consultant, LEE
& RO is responsible for engineering, design, and construction
support services for a $16 million water storage management
project consisting of six 3-million gallon reservoirs.
The scope of work includes inspection, data analysis,
preparation of plans and specifications, and cost estimating. The
project is divided into two phases. Phase I consists of four
reservoirs and Phase II consists of two reservoirs.
The scope also includes the development of a Reservoir
Operations Plan that incorporates the operation of 10 reservoirs,
including four existing reservoirs, four new production/injection
wells, chloramine disinfection, reservoir
mixing/filling/drawdown/balancing operations, electrical,
instrumentation and controls, pressure regulation, SCADA, and site
security.

Arbor
Ridge Domestic Water Reservoir & Booster Pump Station, Walnut

As
Prime consultant, LEE & RO is responsible for
the preliminary design report, final design, and construction
management services for the addition of a 1 million gallon
capacity reservoir, a 3,500-gpm capacity booster pump station and
various site improvements, including landscaping.
The final design of this $3 million project was completed
in August 2007 and the construction is underway.

San Joaquin
Reservoir (SJR) Pumping Station and Flow Control Facility,
Irvine Ranch Water District,
Irvine, CA

As Prime Consultant, LEE & RO was responsible for planning,
design and construction support services for the $2.6 million, SJR
Flow Control and Pumping Facilities project.
This project consisted of an 8,250 gpm pumping station
(with three 75 hp, 4,125-gpm, VFD-driven pumps), flow control
facility, hypochlorite disinfection facility, and sub-surface
water collection and pumping facility at the base of the dam.
IRWD purchased the SJR from MWD and converted it to a
reclaimed water storage reservoir, integrating it into their Zone
B recycled water system. Construction
was completed and it has been in operation since March 2006 .

Chloramine
Disinfection Conversion Project, Los Angeles Co. Department of
Public Works, Alhambra, CA

As Prime Consultant, LEE & RO is responsible for design and
construction phase services for a $7.5 million Chloramine
Disinfection Conversion Project, which will convert existing
chlorine disinfection into chloramine disinfection for 18 separate
production water well sites located in the
Antelope
Valley
. Each site will be equipped with ammonia and chlorine gas storage
(either one ton cylinders or 150 pound cylinders) complete with
associated ammonia feed and chlorination systems.
Larger sites with chlorine ton cylinders are equipped with
chlorine containment, and chlorine scrubbing systems. Final design
was completed in 2006 and construction is about 80% complete.

| Extraction
Well Network, Sanitation District of Los Angeles County,
Whittier, CA

| As Prime
Consultant, LEE & RO was responsible for design and
construction phase services for a $4 million extraction well water
collection network system for the Palmdale Water Reclamation Plant
Effluent Management Site. The
project extracts groundwater contaminated with nitrate and pumps
it back to the Palmdale Plant for treatment.
Construction was completed in August 2007.

Distribution
System Treated Water Cross Connection Prevention Program,
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

As Prime Consultant, LEE & RO is responsible for preliminary
design and final design of relocation and/or modifications to
approximately 100 air and vacuum relief valves installed on the
MWD water distribution system throughout the
Los Angeles
County
area. This project
objective is to eliminate the possibility of contamination in
MWD’s main water distribution network.
The total construction cost is estimated at $9 million.
The final design was completed in November 2007. |

Black
Mountain Reservoir, City of San Diego,
CA |
| Black
Mountain Reservoir is a
concrete reinforced, dual-basin, potable water reservoir
consisting of two 12.5 million gallon basins.
The $19 million reservoir was placed into service in 2003
and is providing water to residents of the rapidly developing
northern section of the City of San Diego, west of Interstate 15.
LEE & RO assisted the City's Water Department Capital
Improvements Program Management Division during design,
construction, and startup phases.
Typical tasks included review of facility designs,
developing solutions to construction issues, and review of startup
and commissioning plans. |
